The Bolivia Life Center is Children's International Network's orphanage in Cochabamba, Bolivia. The Children of the Bolivia Life Center were all hopeless and alone on the streets of Cochabamba and are now living safe in their new home and receiving everything they need: food, clothing, a bed, education, and most of all, the love of Jesus Christ!
On a typical day, the children get up at 7 am and get themselves ready for the busy day ahead. They get a fresh breakfast and then board the bus to go to school, where they remain until lunchtime. Afterwards they receive supplemental tutoring for three hours which allows them to reach a higher level of education. Many of the children arrive severely behind in their academics because many have had little or no schooling their entire life. Shortly after, many of the children rise to the top of their class. Along with this supplemental learning they are also taught in areas such as: art, ceramics, music, and computer skills. They get some free play time in the afternoons, and then the entire orphanage has dinner together as family. After a time of recess it's time for a shower and they all head off to their beds! Saturdays the children enjoy playing and working together, and on Sundays the children look forward to going to church.
The Bolivia Life Center also has life training facilities which prepare the children for their future. The children learn agriculture, farming, mechanics and much more. The children are also taught various life skills that help develop them into well balanced young men. Our Missions Teams throughout the year will assist in building our new Life Training Center, where the children will learn mechanics, baking, bicycle repair, and automobile manufacturing. The Life Training Center will be a key component in raising young men with strong life skills and preparing them for Life. The children will have the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the business world.
We are currently prayerfully seeking other Latin American countries to establish other Life Center orphanages.
